Combining high technology development with specialized scientific research aims to establish Greece as a high-quality, safe tourist destination for older people.

Silver Guide offers a system guaranteed to be user friendly and meet users’ desires over the age of 55. It addresses different age groups with other psychographic characteristics, mentalities, and needs, depending on their country of origin. Its fundamental advantage is the original scientific research, which will provide the basis for the development of the platform’s unique content online.

was founded in 2005 by researchers and professionals in the field of ageing, with the aim of promoting the human rights of older adults in Greece and their active participation in society. The organization has participated in many scientific researches, actions and initiatives, at a national and European level, for the improvement of the living conditions of older people, their education and active citizenship.
MOBICS
Founded in 2006 as a spin-off company of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Informatics and Telecommunications), Mobics specializes in the design, development and provision of innovative applications and value added services for mobile, Web and pervasive environments, with an emphasis on geographic and contextual information. The Mobics R&D team is led by internationally well known researchers with a long record of research contributions in the areas of mobile and pervasive networking services and applications, and participation in many international, national and regional R&D projects.
TETRAGON
Was founded in 1999 by three activists and belongs to the Creative Industry. Its creative departments, with high scientific training and know-how. The company has many years of experience in the application of modern architectural, museological and museographic solutions, demonstrating innovative activity, in Greece and abroad in the fields of Tourism / Culture as well as research activity to improve the lives of vulnerable social groups.

Scientific research and needs analysis
• Process and analysis of desk research data and international surveys on the needs, requirements, and expectations of older tourists
• Survey with online questionnaires in 4 countries (Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia)
• Extensive field research in at least three cities of Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Kalamata) and Crete, involving about 200 Greek and 300 foreign tourists of different age groups (55-64 years, 65-74 years and over 75 years)
• Qualitative research including interviews with relevant bodies, recording of infrastructure and related services as well as limitations for the development of senior tourism in each region - 02
